And it gives the Steam OS plenty of room to work in. Also the more free space you have on an SSD, the longer lifespan it will tend to have. I got the sandisk ultra 1tb for $109 on amazon today (getting delivered in a couple of hours). Everywhere i have read says that the game speed is bottlenecked by the steamdeck so the ultra works perfectly for gaming. Where it probably is slower is the write speed when saving to the card but heyfor that price i am ok with it You should buy the Asus ROG Ally if: you want the absolute best — on paper. On paper, the Ally bests the Steam Deck in nearly every way, though rarely by a substantial measure. I'm getting a 512 GB Steam Deck so I'm probably going to just get a 128 or 256 GB SD card. Most games will be installed to the internal storage for me.
